Psychopathy is the only mental disorder where it is not the patient, but the environment that suffers
- Sanne Udsen, Psychopath’s in Suits.
Mary, is an established woman. Her lifespan is a petrifying mess. This is about dating a truly creepy sociopath, one who swindled himself through life. A self-absorbed, lying person who used people. He always presented himself with a public persona of normalcy. Trusting him was fatal. He was inappropriately flirting with her; he was a doctor and she was his patient. At first she ignored his flirting. During a treatment session, he goes too far. Does he get hard when he treats patients? It was too late for her to escape.
Unintended she becomes captured in his mean sticky spider web. Trusting him with her fragile life, she don’t see he is like Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. She begins a passionate love affair with him. Why did she fall in love with him? She don’t know. He convinced Mary that he could help her through her personal struggles and save her from her unwise suicide attempt. So she carelessly trusted him! Drake won her compassion with his enormous intellect and glimmering charm. He seemed wise and educated, with a great personality. Mary felt he possessed great empathy for her, and something vastly magical happened around him. He appeared energetic and funny and had a trustworthy job. Too late, it became clear to Mary she was thoroughly caught up in his intrigues. She could not see what lay behind the dark shade of Drake Lucifer Bates. Swindle wealthy patients, was his primary target.
He convince her to break out of her marriage. So, she chose Drake. In their life is magic in both good and evil. Their life seemed blissful on the outside. Behind his malicious plan, it was chilling. It’s a never-ending money story with him! Commanding her to pay for this or invest in that. She doesn’t know the dude is totally broke. He needs her money, and she feel a chilling pressure from him to pay for it all. Out of love Mary always gives him whatever he wants. Suddenly he even wants half of her divorce settlement. Next he isolates her from family and friends. He misuse her strong belief in Christ. Drake gladly praises himself as Jesus, looking symbolically at the cross of Jesus when he once visited a Catholic church with Mary. He plays the resurrected Jesus. He believes she is his Mary Magdalena. They walked the trail and carried out their ministry. Together they walked the Way of Suffering before he got crucified. So, she saved him from the cross. He often told Mary. He has a severe God complex! She is a character in his horror movie. It’s as living with a disturbed handsome and charming lunatic. He sinks into his mania of deceives and lies. He is a predator! His manipulative behaviour and scams, ends disastrous for Mary. Drake quickly caught her up in his disturbing personality, like a bug caught in a spiderweb. He consumed her in his manipulative, dark, shady terror by making her promises of a better and happier life. He is the perfect puppetmaster, who controls the strings on his new pretty doll, and he play the role perfectly, as well as any Oscar-winning actor. Romance, drama and action happens in her life with him. Life is never dull with him. Mary never knows what happened next. He can either be very low and sluggish or feel astronomical and overactive. He suddenly changes for the worse. He is breaking her down. He has arms made of steel which are impossible for her to escape from. He criticises her and is demanding in many aspects. One day, he tells her how clever and intelligent she is, and the next day, she is dreadful and a stupid fool. She is caught in a dangerous, cynical cage of love for Drake and have not realised that she is dealing with the worst and most drawn-out suicide of her life. Mary paid the price for a massive let-down by Drake. She don’t know anything about psychopaths, but she can figure out what she can expect from such people. Her life was never the same again because he broke her! But she still have some sanity left. Mary learned a lot from all the evil Drake did. Most of all, he gave her the final inspiration to grab the magic pen, and she let it write most of what happened down on paper. As Mary reconsider it, it’s extremely weird to think of him as a sociopath, with her as his girlfriend. But there was a part of him that made him so mysterious and exciting as a character. The telling is touching, romantic, cruel, drama and has funny features. It’s totally addictive and will stay with you forever. It’s about observing it all from above and from a healthy perspective, to realise what he did to Mary. It will obsess you. The story is fictional, but it contains ideas based on real events. This is a part one of the Burning Desire trilogy. It will obsess you.
