The poems in The Point of It All contain beauty, mystery, language and in depth characteristic philosophical interpretations for every human being. Hence, the language of poetry is metaphoric and elicits emotions and feelings that are both on the surface and hidden in the deep recesses of all human nature. The goal of this book is to make the reader think; thus, some of the poems herein may appear to be complex or even simplistic, so the author grouped them under seven dynamic topics to inform and entertain the reader. The topics are: "Listen to Me," talking to today's youth; "Thank You for Your Service," recognizing some of America's heroes; "Just Remembering," reflecting memories from the poet's past; "Heritage," paying homage to a few cultural memories"; "Making the Point," opining on ideas and emotional responses; " With All Due Respect," acknowledging the worth of others," and "Introspection" demanding thoughts about relevant random topics and social issues. In other words, each section reflects the poet's awareness and sensitivity to language, the past, the present, family, friends, cultural wars, race, gender, and notable people like relatives, teachers, students, women and military heroes. The poems within this volume resonate poignantly like eternal songs in the psyche and in the spirit of the soul.

About the Book
The Point of It All is a collection of poems grounded in the writer's experiential and vicarious experiences. To the poet, poems are designed to raise, respond and react to points that reach deep into the soul, because therein lies a person's innermost thoughts, emotions and instincts about right and wrong. This poet's vision reflects how deeply she feels about ideas and issues that force humans to question themselves and their behavior. Some of the poems although not intended to be didactic serve as reminders for everyone to be forever conscious of the embedded messages in society that might threaten their values and change their points of emphasis. She offers that it is imperative that everyone must use their voices, poetic or otherwise to forever remain true to their moral vision.
