Coming of Age: The Future

They looked through the virtual windows as space flashed across their visuals. They viewed Mars, Jupiter with its gigantic storm that went for decades. Past Jupiter they viewed Saturn’s rings that eclipsed their perception. They headed for one of Saturn’s satellites, which was surrounded by an atmosphere of hydrocarbons. The spaceship landed. Space suits protected them from the harsh atmosphere of toxic gases and liquid lades of ethane. They approached a cave, with a reinforced titanium front. This front slid upward as a rush of air flowed out. After they entered the front slid down, as they were met by humanoids. “You have arrived on Saturn’s moon Titan,” said the humanoid. You can remove your suits since we have breathable air.” “Who are you,” asked the overwhelmed teenagers. “We are scientists deployed with Space Seal Team.” “Space Seal Team?” said Francine. “They were deployed from Earth, when we noticed are droids were controlled by an external entity.” “Droids?” said Don. “Droids that fixed problems on the Space Station.” “Space Station?” said Francine. “Mars Space Station!” “We never knew about a Mars Space Station,” said Don. “What year is this?” said Francis. “The year of 2324.”
