About the Book

“REFLECTIONS IN CANTERBURY” is not only a collection of poetry, verse and lyric myths. It is also a record of experiences while in hardship and affliction. This is an autobiography of an orphan-poet who tells not only her own story but those who lost their way. The artiste creates beauty out of poverty as she lives her work amongst Philadelphia’s disabled poor and homeless. Gareth England chooses those of low estate and transforms them into gemstones. Her genuine sense of expression and imagination are truely sublime. The author’s esoteric style is most favorable and the Old English flavor in her lyric myths is indeed noteworthy. An inspirational Read to say the least:

About the Author

Gareth England is the pen name of Michelle Suzette Patente (Patont), a French-Ukranian American orphan-poet and short story street writer of ‘Urban Magical Realism’, mystical-short stories of the inner city - often juxtaposing harsh reality with creative imagination. “REFLECTIONS IN CANTERBURY” is a revision of “Umbrians Poetica”, an old published collection of poetry, verse and lyric’ myths written amongst Philadelphia’s homeless and disabled poor. Royalties are directed to and for the ‘International Network of Street Papers’ (INSP), a saving grace of survival for those who are homeless worldwide. Devoted to ‘Outreach’ for street alcoholism, Gareth England is a social service advocate as well as a social reformer.
