Five-year-old Timothy loves to cuddle an old blanket that is frayed with silvery, silky stuff all around; some of the silvery, silky stuff has come away from the blanket material and hangs down just like thick spaghetti! After school each day, Timothy runs to his room and grabs his blanket from under the sheets where he is hiding it from the Blanket Fairy and sucks his thumb until the morning. Mom and dad have told Timothy that the Blanket Fairy will come one day when he least expects it and take his beloved blanket away to give to a special little boy who needs it. “Then you’ll be a big boy and won’t need to suck your thumb either.” Mom told Timothy. Follow Timothy as he waits for the Blanket Fairy and just what special little boy she gives his blanket to.

“Timothy and the Blanket Fairy is about a little boy that loves to cuddle his blanket and suck his thumb. His mom and dad have told him that the Blanket Fairy will come one day when he least expects her and she will take his beloved blanket to give to a special little boy that needs it. “Then you’ll be a big boy and won’t need to cuddle your blanket or suck your thumb.” Mom tells Timothy. The story takes the reader with Timothy as he awaits the Blanket Fairy to appear and take his blanket. Follow a grownup Timothy as he and his family stumble across a special surprise for his son, Timmie, Jr.
About the Author
Nita Clarke is a 71-year-old writer that hails from the Bayous of Louisiana and currently resides in the Commonwealth of Kentucky where she retired in 2006. She is the mother of two children; Michael and Michele, a grandmother and a great-grandmother. Nita is a disabled Vietnam-era Veteran of the US Navy where she served as a Journalist and in Public Affairs. With nearly ten-years in Radio, Nita worked as an Announcer for KSLO/KOGM in Opelousas, Louisiana and for KJAE/KLLA in Leesville, Louisiana. She attended the University of Southwestern Louisiana in Lafayette and is as graduate of the Lexington (Kentucky) Theological Seminary (2013). Nita enjoys reading, writing, volunteering for her Church, St. Peter Claver, and spending time with family and friends.
