About the Book

Astronaut Sunita Williams is up in space for six months living on the International Space Station. Although he misses her (sometimes) Gorby, her Jack Russell Terrier, is having the time of his life with his circle of friends. Find out about Gorby’s adventures with all sorts of Tail- Coal, Elsie, Thomas, Magnolia, Gunner, Sadie, Louie, Scuppers, and Brandy Girl as they scheme together in Beebe Woods, Siders Pond, Davisville and parks all around Falmouth. With all these TAILS in cahoots, it’s no wonder there are so many TALES to be told. All the while “Suni” watches over her little buddy from above, laughing, as he and his pals stumble into one adventure after another.

About the Author

Originating from Cleveland, Ohio, Bonnie Pandya embarked on a transformative journey in 1966. When she, along with her family, moved to Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Deepak N. Pandya, her renowned neuroanatomist husband, led the way, accompanied by their son, Jay a Naval Officer and nuclear medicine technologist, and daughters Dina, a web developer at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute, and Sunita Williams, an astronaut preparing for her third flight to the International Space Station in April, 2024. After several years on Cape Cod, Bonnie now calls the serene Venice, Florida, her home.

Throughout her life, Bonnie’s deep-seated love for animals has been a constant. Dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, chickens, bunnies and squirrels have all found a place in her heart. Currently, she shares her life with her beloved 10-year-old Black Labrador Retriever named Black Jack’E. Her profound observations on animal behavior have significantly shaped the narratives of the Gorby Stories. Since her relocation to Florida, Bonnie has developed an affinity for many coastal birds including Sand Hill Cranes, turtles, Amarillo, deer and even alligators.

These heartwarming tales took root during Bonnie’s daughter Sunita’s inaugural mission to the International Space Station. While Sunita spent six months in space, her loyal Jack Russell Terrier, Gorby, was lovingly cared for by Bonnie on Earth. The Gorby stories became a source of joy for Suni and her fellow crewmates, eagerly awaited with each installment.
