About the Book

This is a book designed for seven- to twelve-year-olds. It is a feel-good book about how one good turn deserves another, as a privilege and not a right. A foolish boy makes some very bad decisions, leading to a face-to-face meeting with crocodiles in their territory. By good fortune, the largest crocodile in the creek saves the boy. This book also reminds us that good planning and sensible actions do more good than harm.

About the Author

His father loved telling bedtime stories, making them up as he went along. The common theme was that while reward should not be sought, good deeds are sometimes repaid, often unexpectedly, in kind. The author, now a grandfather himself, is attempting to emulate his own father, using in his stories a blend of fact and fiction. In this series, he has in mind that today’s world is much faster paced than it was in his younger years. Listeners to his stories could place themselves in the various roles in the story itself, in reading, taking time out to discuss the content, and changing the pitch of their voices to suggest coming excitement and a suggestion of imminent danger.
