We need to be above reproach. We are overseeing that the law is upheld and imprisoning those who have no respect for it. It is fair for us to do the same. One power hungry officer, detective or agent can ruin the reputation of those who protect the people who do observe the law. Back in the late nineties and early two thousand, we had in L. A. a case of a group of officers and agents of different legal agencies, that believe they were beyond the law. That is not the case now, most of the time the officers and agents, understand that we are all doing the same job. Our duty is to maintain the peace and to make sure the law is observed by everyone without exceptions. It shouldn’t matter if they are officers, agents, or lawyers. If you break the law, you should be ready for the consequences too. But it is not the rule. We usually find officers that know that our job is to supplement their effort in upholding the law. That is what we usually find in many officers. They know we will help their efforts. Not because they can’t do the job, but because they want to do the job right and to do that, they might need some extra hands. That is why we are called in, to help their team get the job done.
