The title , Climate Change Apocalypse , portends the violent events which will end the world as we know it because of an overheating climate , caused by the accumulation of man made C02 emissions. Vast expanses of the earth will become desert , agriculture to feed the world will be devastated , rising oceans will inundate cities and of course the Arctic glaciers will melt. This is the prevalent narrative that climate activists would have you believe . In our book , Scott Palodino a young engineer trained in environmental sciences and working for a major international oil company , starts to have doubts about the science , or lack thereof , behind these claims . As he works his way through the labyrinth of ApexEnergy , he and his boss suddenly get called to London where company operations are being shutdown by climate protesters . As he works his way through the public relations problems he crosses paths with the beautiful , talented Eve Marie Forsyth who is one of the protest leaders but as it turns out has her own doubts about the purposes of the movement. The story continues with how they both evolve to full skepticism on the science and motives driving today's climate activism . At the same time , a burgeoning romance takes place. Our protagonist returns to Houston headquarters where he is challenged to develop a corporate strategy on how to best approach the business environment of man-made ( anthropogenic ) climate change . He finds himself deep diving into the science behind climate change and the role of C02 emissions . His conclusions and recommendations to the company executive board provide an intriguing final statement . And Oh yes , Eve Marie arrives on the 5:45 PM flight from London !

About the Book
A fictional short story about how a major oil company must adapt to the so-called existential threat of climate change. The young environmental engineer protagonist seeks to verify the scientific justification driving this threat and discovers instead only a trail of bad science, misinformation, vested interests and politics. Most importantly, he finds from his analysis that the basic thesis of manmade C02 emissions being responsible for temperature rise and global warming is false. He presents the empirical data that supports this conclusion. Further, he outlines how this deception poses a serious threat to our very prosperity and way of life as we know it. Given this environment, he then is challenged with developing the corporate strategy that will be needed for his company going forward.
About the Author
C. Stuart Griffith grew up in Canada and obtained his engineering degree from the University of Saskatchewan and business degree from McGill University in Montreal. He has spent most of his career with a major international oil company holding various executive positions in Canada, US and several affiliate companies in Latin America. He subsequently worked as a senior advisor with international Oil and Gas consultant (Purvin and Gertz) located in Houston, Texas. More recently, he has been a frequent guest, analyzing energy markets and evolving technologies, on local television in Jacksonville, Florida where he now lives.
