The old Captain’s logbook... With a fishing rod and a sense of pride I raised a family with the tide. Weathering storms sailors know all too well captains of the sea felt the peace on the crest of a rolling swell watched the dolphins and the whales dance across the sea I followed the gulls and wondered about the mystery beneath. And flew my flags that blew in the breeze. My compass my lord showed me the way. And laid my burden down by the timeless bay. I sailed to far away ports with a dreams desire to see oceans lit like a brilliant sapphire. Under a moonlighlight sky that took me higher and higher. I remember every friend and family my destiny my heart my soul forever be, And did what god asked of me. When you think of a sunny day my love for you was just this way.
