About the Book

This is Tony Koszarek’s second book of Saint Charles Borromeo Church Bulletin Cartoons. The first book, “Holy Jokes”, took thirty years to complete. The second, “Holy Jokes II”, took only a mere ten.

About the Author

Tony was born in 1943 and grew up in a tightly knit, working class, mostly Polish neighborhood in northeast Philadelphia. Upon graduation from Father Judge High School, he attended LaSalle University. This was followed by a four year stint in The United States Coast Guard. He then began a career as an electro-mechanical draftsman until his retirement in 2005. After several unsuccessful attempts at cartoon syndication, and with the help of a friendly pastor, he found an outlet for his talent in the Saint Charles Borromeo Church Bulletin. Tony and his wife Gerrie will celebrate fifty years of wedded bliss this year. They have two children, Tony and Michele, and three grandchildren, Stephanie, Frankie and Sophia, whose caricatures appear in many of the cartoons in this book.
