The Far Outlands of Time

YEAR 2125 In Moscow, Russia, Anna Suarez stood outside above the underground subway shelters all by herself. Although there was much radiation everywhere, she could breathe in the thick of it unharmed because of the protective film of winds she was permanently and at all times covered with. The film of winds around her body also availed her of the ability to breathe under water and even in a vacuum. Now at twilight outside, she instinctively began to quietly swing her arms with open palms just above and around her head and shoulders in circular motions and gradually faster and faster. Eventually, she was wielding the winds around her so swiftly that they turned into beams of light–her body now levitated about sixteen inches above the ground while she spun counterclockwise with the gracefulness of a ballerina and with her arms now still and extended upwards and in a diagonal angle. Eventually, she was surrounded by a round spinning bubble of wind light, at which point she crouched down and pressed her knees against her chest while continuing to spin within the perfectly round bubble. Then she embraced her knees with her arms–her head now held between them, and her eyes shut tight just for that moment. Once her spinning body reached the speed of sound, an explosion of energy that expanded throughout the entire surface of our planet at the same time that she immediately stood up by instinct with a loud ‘Ha!’–her arms and legs newly stretched out, so that she came to be standing in an x position again while still levitated but with her head now held back and her eyes newly wide-open. What she didn’t know for a brief moment was that the wind light energy from the explosion had completely dissipated all of the radiation surrounding our Earth. Then, she smiled from feeling refreshed with her eyes still wide-open as she breathed in through her nose with a smile to suspect from smelling absolutely nothing that there was no more radiation surrounding our planet. Thus, she felt confident enough to go for a good and refreshing flight as she heard birds happily chirping and singing from somewhere she did not exactly know. However, as she continued to fly, she came to actually see the birds themselves as they actually sang just the way she’d heard them before. As she took her flight for miles and miles, she beheld dolphins as well as whales happily jumping over the surface of ocean waters, other types of birds flying swiftly just above the surface of the waters in order to catch fish to eat, still even other types of birds flying higher above her in triangular formation as she lifted her head briefly to catch sight of them. Elsewhere, she saw many, many different types of colorful butterflies, after which she soon saw elephants grazing, lions yawning and roaring, bears eating fruits from trees, and giraffes reaching for and munching on leaves to eat as well. Thus, it was at this point that such sights put a big smile on her face as she gasped happily, for she was now sure that her suspicion of having completely eradicated the lethal radiation that had previously surrounded our planet was correct. However, for some unknown reason, she kept this fact completely to herself.
