About the Book

My Bestest Wish Ever is a book about our Chihuahua puppy TidBit; our daughter Pauline who went to feed the goats and a pig who got out of his pen. TidBit was our puppy who followed our five girls around. If they were outside so was he and vice-versa. The 2 goats were a gift from Granny. They were used to being behind a fence and being fed inside of it. The next morning Pauline put some food in a pan and went to feed the goats, as she walked up to the fence they ran toward her, she dropped their food where she stood and they ran right through the fence. They scared her so bad she ran back to the house and never had anything else to do with them. After that we couldn't keep them at home and they developed a taste for Mrs Longs petunias. So back inside Granny's fence they went. The pig was a trial and error way of teaching the girls how to care for an animal. We were not so successful. The gate got left open, the pig got out, we humans couldn't catch him it took another animal to show us how that was done. And to seal the deal TidBit did everything but close the gate.

About the Author

I was born Peggy Ann Parker at home in Orlando Florida October 29, 1946. My father was in the Air Force when I was born and when I was 6 years old he was restationed in England. The most I remember about being there was high snow drifts and outside clothes. Going to school going outside at school and going home meant putting on and taking off my heavy outer clothing. As you can guess I developed a healthy dislike of snow! From the time I started to school I excelled in English, hence my love for creating characters and writing about them. The characters I create are true to life and my stories are based on actual facts. The year I would have been in the 10th grade I Married William Henry Barber Jr. I was so happy. I remember writing my new name on every piece of paper I could find. Mrs. Peggy Ann Barber. We were very happy with our 5 girls. When our youngest girl was six years old we added a son to our family. When our son started kindergarten, I looked around the empty house. I hate to be alone even for part of a day so I asked my husband if I could get a job. The add read go to LPN school. 2nd best choice I ever made. I graduated LPN school 1979, RN school 1989 and retired 2009. As my Grandchildren and Great Grand Children took up less of my time, I decided to try writing about the characters I had in my head. I hope you enjoy reading my books as much as I enjoy writing them. Just remember you are 5–8-year-old little boy or perhaps little girl.
