About the Book

These are some of the stories that I remember from the time I was four years old to the last paragraph when I list some of MY favorite books. The book is only 96 pages long so it's an easy read.

I hope you find some of them funny and a couple of them might touch your heart and mostly you will learn about how life was in Iowa in the 1950's. I want you to have a short break in your day that will bring you a bit of serenity and peace.

About the Author

I think I am the best one to talk about the author because I am the author.

I turned eighty years old in January and so I grew up in the 1950's and these stories are about that time of my life.

I couldn't figure out how to end the book so I just added a short list of some of the books I have enjoyed over the years.

These are some of the stories I have told over the years to some of my friends while we were talking about when we were teenagers. The difference is you readers can choose to read them if you want unlike my friends who had to listen to mine if they wanted to tell theirs.

I live in a senior community in New Jersey, a state I moved to after my husband died in 2012. I live near my daughter and grown (by now)grandchildren. I really like where I live because the area is called The Pine Barrens which makes me an honorary "Piney".

I called the book it's all about me because what else would a memoir be?
