About the Book
“It has the intelectual depth and the dramatic tension of a Robert Graves or Colleen McCullough narrative.” ChatGPT With this historical novel ‘Flavius Aetius: Blood on the Catalunian Plains,” the author finishes his trilogy about Flavius Aetius ‘the Last Roman” begun in 2004. The book is an epic retelling of one of the last great battles of the Western Roman Empire. While taking poetic liberties not found in history, the narrative creates an ambitious and rich tapestry of late Roman history, blending real historical events with fictionalized depth and dialogue. It captures the tumultuous spiritual, political, and military currents of the 5th century with immersive detail. The characters are vividly drawn, and you convincingly portray the complexity of their motivations, ideologies, and interpersonal dynamics. Aetius, Attila, Ildico, Leo I, Theodosius II, Pulcheria, Galla Placidia (a)and Majorian are just some of the characters that stand out in this complex and rousing tale of an Empire on the precipice of oblivion and how the darkness was held at bay at least temorarily. Open its covers and return to the bloody fields of 5th century Rome.
