“Crypto Queen: You are a Mark” is a true crime inspired non- fiction based in Melbourne, Australia. The book tells a story of Pati, empathic social worker, who engages in an on-line conversation with a stranger. Little does she know that what starts like frivolous playful banter turns her world upside down as she becomes entrapped by an insidious scamming syndicate. This event changes her life forever, leaving long lasting consequences. The book touches on the contemporary topic of scamming affecting our communities globally, aiming to break the stigma attached to the topic through telling the real-life story and the impact it creates.

About the Author

Pati, an artistic pseudonym, is an established health professional with over 20 years’ experience in human service organisations specialising in mental health and trauma. She also runs her own private counselling practise. She is a qualified social worker (University of Melbourne), accredited mental health social worker, and qualified family therapist (Master of Clinical Family Therapy, La Trobe University). She also holds a Master’s degree in Languages and Literature (University of Adam Mickiewicz, Poznan, Poland)..

Pati has a strong interest in social justice issues and she is an accomplished presenter at international forums e.g. 10th International Social Work Conference, Melbourne, presenting on issues affecting the community, including: the housing crisis and scamming.
