Dr. Adalberto Garcia de Mendoza (1900-1963) Taking as a preamble the description of the characteristic features of the Marburg and Baden Neo-Kantian Schools that shaped Kantian through Mexico during the first half of the 20th century, the author finds Ortega y Gasset and Adalberto Garcia de Mendoza the pillars of this philosophy development. Both neo-Kantians rebated and trained intellectual figures of the stature of Jose Gaos, Garcia Bacca y Recansez Siches, Francisco Larroyo, and Guillermo Hector Rodriguez.
