About the Book

Opportunity Lane is a street in a community that hardworking people live on, that are raising their children and trying to live a good, decent life. Everyone pretty much minds their own business and goes about their lives, not taking the time to hold conversations or even speak to their neighbors.

Tangerie Harris, Elise Burgess, Khenti Johnson, and Dee Brown are no exception, because they’re dealing with their own issues that the neighbors see but would rather mind their own business.

Tragedy happens on Opportunity Lane that forces everyone to come together, in order to help their neighbor. They bonded a friendship at the end, but the truth isn’t what they expected, when it comes out. Everyone will hide what they know, to protect their own in the end.

About the Author

John D. McCray is a 46-year old African American, born and raised in Alcolu, South Carolina. He now resides in North Carolina, and works with adults with disabilities and special needs. John has been writing for over thirty years and is the author of seventeen books. John enjoys taking you on an adventure through your imagination with his creative characters. His stories always give a valuable lesson that relates to life situations.
