Bankstown in 1956 is a corrupt and lawless town on the outskirts of Sydney. Suzie’s demure but resolute friend, Anouk Koning, the daughter of a corrupt cop, blows the whistle on Mullins’s brothel, where an underage prostitute, “Bambi” Dodds, services a network of local dignitaries. When Bambi breaks free, Suzie protects her as she struggles to regain her lost childhood. Mullins’s death throws his teenage lover, Lily Xing, into a downward spiral.
