About the Author
Khalid Talssi, born in 1962 in Casablanca, Morocco, is a graduate of Al-Qarawiyyin University with an Advanced Diploma in Islamic Law. He also holds diplomas in Educational Guidance, Senior Educator Training, and Nutrition, Diet and Health Sciences. Talssi served as a Senior Educator for 17 years, managing and supervising youth centres across Morocco. He contributed to training educators and kindergarten teachers in southern Morocco. His work extended to national and international youth festivals and cultural events. Since immigrating to Canada in 2005, he has volunteered in public schools, social institutions, and community programs. In 2016, he received a Medal of Honour and Courage from Fort McMurray Municipality for his role in wildfire rescue operations. Talssi is also an innovator, developing educational tools such as the Smart Reminder Smart Organizer apps and various kids games. His career reflects a lifelong dedication to education, youth development, and humanitarian service.
