About the Book

Prayer Songs is a chronological journey through the author’s emotions as he deals with social injustice, family relationships, and aging through this collection of poetry. Described as “raw” and “extremely emotional” by readers, it gnaws and wails at the sources of pain and doubts in our everyday existence. Written primarily during the Covid pandemic, the book also deals with the feelings associated with death, disease, and isolation as it desperately tries to connect to the reader’s own emotions. The book is greatly enhanced by the artwork provided by Markus Puskar—motion, fantasy, and western landscapes elevate the reader’s experience. The artwork is a unique journey unto itself.

About the Author

Jeff began writing poetry as a teenager developing a unique style as most subjects deal with human connection and the needs and desires surrounding those connections.  He writes from personal feelings and experience hoping to connect on an emotional and empathetic level.
