About the Book

This book is a reminder of those moments when life confronts us with death, love, failure, struggle, sadness, triumph, and doubt. When we have lived so much that we feel the need to go beyond merely physical, every day, and very adverse experiences. The character begins to explore the existence of truth, life, and love, finding answers in the most difficult, harsh and painful moments to make sense of his own existence and the life experience that fate—or destiny—has given him.

About the Author

Richard Patiño is a Venezuelan business administrator who worked for more than twenty years in corporate environments without ever setting aside his passion for writing. In 2004, he wrote his first essay titled The Flight of the Phoenix, a religious work based on the confessions of its main character, inspired by the Confessions of Saint Augustine. Years later, he wrote The Effective Christian, an essay in which he describes his vision of the worker who seeks efficiency and effectiveness based on the fundamental principles of love, obedience, and conscientious objection. Amid the terrible living conditions in a Venezuela plunged into the worst humanitarian crisis in its history due to the socialist dictatorship, and fleeing persecution for his political inclination toward the Venezuelan opposition, he decided to migrate to the United States, where he developed Lázaro del Roble: Truth, Life, and Love, his first formally published book.
