About the Book

“A Better Tomorrow” acknowledges the harm historically inflicted on a specific segment of society; harm that continues today. It’s not about admitting fault—we all know the facts around the history of that harm, whether we admit it, or not—we need to find a pathway to healing. In lieu of a realistic pathway, “A Better Tomorrow” offers a fictionalized vision that allows the injured to be separated from the whole—much like an addict being removed from the environment that caused his harm, and sent to rehab, to heal—before being reintroduced into mainstream society; a full and made-whole soul. Hopefully, the vision starts a conversation…that moves the needle. As mentioned by news pundits and social activists across the nation, freedom ain’t free; it requires constant work. Otherwise, this experiment in democracy, as outlined in the constitution, could be a failed experiment before you know it. Unfortunately, the country is falling headfirst into fascism, and no one seems to care; working under the premise that it’s us against them when, in reality, it’s us against the cliff we’re racing towards.

About the Author

Born and raised in southern Mississippi, during the civil rights struggle, he is intimately familiar with the South that desperately tried to keep the Black man in his place: Experiencing firsthand the dehumanizing effect of White’s Only establishments, the bitter condescension of racist attitudes, and the sting of White privilege.
