About the Book

Eva Didier has loved doing hair since she was a little girl. What began as braiding cousins, friends, and family on the front porch grew into a lifelong passion and a rewarding career. Today, Eva is a professional hairstylist and the founder of Eva Braids, where she specializes in braids, locs, and natural hair care. She believes every hairstyle tells a story and that every child deserves to feel confident, valued, and proud of their natural beauty. Inspired by the smiles she sees in her salon each day, Eva wrote Braids, Locs & Big Smiles to celebrate diversity, encourage self-confidence, and teach children the importance of caring for their hair with love. Through fun characters, colourful illustrations, and meaningful lessons, she hopes to inspire young readers to embrace who they are and wear their crowns with pride every day.
