About the Book

A seemingly untroubled itinerant traveler, philosopher, sets-up office in a small Alabama town and while trying to change the culture and thinking of local residents, he has some trials and adventures but also not surprisingly he finds consummate love.

INTRODUCTION

Ray was tall, almost gaunt, with a slight limp, favoring his right leg. He had a “Mona Lisa” smile, inscrutable, and a ruddy complexion, weathered by long trails walked over a young but serious time period. When he got off the bus, he was carrying his small laptop computer. The man was neatly dressed in light chinos, a blue oxford cloth shirt, white sweater and loafers. He retrieved his one suitcase and headed to the nearest Realtor office. It was a standard routine, developed over the past 20 years.

Reviews from an earlier work by Joe Herold, HARK THE HEROLD SINGS:

"I laughed, I chuckled---many times---and of course I cried. I don´t know enough words to explain how deeply moving and touching the story was." Walter Reinhold, Author, CULTURE 4.0, and Professor of Music at NYU.

"The emotions and personal feelings were clearly and smoothly expressed. The story caused me to smile, to laugh, and to ponder." Kenneth Everard, Professor Emeritus, College of New Jersey.
