About the Book
This is Barbara’s second book of light verse. Excerpts from the first volume, Terse Verse, have appeared in many national publications, including: The Saturday Evening Post, Mature Living, The Funny Paper, and Smile. Other books by this author are: Egrets to the Flames, a novel set in Florida’s sugar cane country, published in 2007 by Oceanview Publishing, and Savories, a collection of short stories, articles, and humor published by Xlibris. Another collection, 50 Award-Winning Feature Articles, is forthcoming from Xlibris. All books are available online or from local bookstores. In addition to her books, Barbara has had thirty-five of her plays performed in New York City and in equity theaters throughout the USA, and her songs have been played worldwide. Her jewelry has been exhibited at the Smithsonian, and by museums in thirteen countries.
About the Author
Born in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania, Barbara’s exploits have transported her to ports foreign and domestic. Her careers have included actress, playwright, songwriter, jewelry designer, artist, member of the Merchant Marine, and university instructor. Barbara has received over 200 awards for her articles, stories, poetry, humor, and her novel. Thirty-six of her plays, from one minute to ninety minutes, have been produced in New York City, where two were nominated for “Best of Previous Season.” Her books include two collections of poetry and light verse, Terse Verse and Demi Verse; a collection of articles, stories, and humor, Savories; and a novel, Egrets to the Flames.
