“One of these days I’m going to pack up and head for the mountains and become a hermit, just you jokers wait and see” A constant threat Moira used to her growing offspring on the many occasions she sensed they were taking her for granted, never once expecting the event to materialize. When opportunity suddenly arises, and she takes the plunge into the Canadian Rockies, Moira realizes that mountain life, for her anyways,mountain life is not all it’s cracked up to be.

About the Author

Born on the island of Barbados in the West Indies Palmyra was the eldest girl and second child of eleven children She graduated from Nursing in England as an RN and Midwife. After a year in an exchange program in the U.S .she immigrated to Canada in1966 and has resided there. She has three sons and a daughter. Her hobbies include Aquatics as a student and later as an instructor, Music –an accomplished organist- Woodworking, cabinet making, Antique furniture repair and design, Horticulture, Floral arranging.
