About the Book

“The Revolt” begins with a routine college band trip. During the late night return, the two buses carrying the band members encounter a sudden portal into another world. Both buses are transported to this place, arriving in two different locations. Those aboard the first bus are taken captive by the alien race known as “The Clan.” The second bus is attacked and one of the band members, Kyle Slade, saves the day and allows the group to escape. While those aboard the first bus are imprisoned, the second bus arrives at the only remaining location of the natives, who have been subjugated by the Clan. Kyle Slade is then seen as their messiah. He does not want to be considered a sort of “holy warrior” for these people. He just wants to rescue those that have been taken captive, including his would-be girlfriend, and return them all home. He reluctantly agrees to follow their mystical prophecies in order to obtain the help of the natives in reaching his goal of returning home. Along the way, he learns that the prophecies are accurate and he gains certain unique abilities that aid him in rescuing the others.
