About the Book

This book: “What if… Misread, Misfed, MisLed?,” is a hypothesis. It is based on the premise and contention that the aforementioned reasons lead to a vicious circle of negativity and subordination of women. Thus, the possibility exists that these elements serve as the underlying basis for specific affective factors and behavior patterns as causes for antagonism towards women in pursuing or already in leadership positions within the church. We contend that those affective negative attributes are mainly: fem-phobia, misogyny, egotism, and authoritarianism. It is believed that the implications of the resultant behavior patterns are still relevant current, and broad in scope. Consequently, they tend to involve and affect the cultural, psycho-social, historical, and religious, aspects surrounding women’s equity issues.
