What can we learn to live with? Is there a deed so heinous that we are no longer willing to live with ourselves? Lex once thought so. She once believed that there were things that she was unable to do. Sadly, she fi nds that, like all creatures, people are capable of just about anything and that it was amazing just how much a person could justify... After using his powers to return to her own time-line, the demon calls on Lex to fulfi ll her end of the deal. He shows her, behind her lover’s back, how to reach her enemy and encourages her to take action. She practices her demonic skills on the most undesirable elements of the town, taking out the trash and satiating her hunger on rapists and assassins. Lex focusses on honing her skills in preparation for her encounter with Lucia, all the while falling further and further from the woman she once was. Only after her objective is complete does she realize what she had become. Attempting to make peace with her actions, Lex discovers that her quest to save her own life never had anything to do with her, that all of her suffering and everything she had done was part of a script in someone else’s play. This was never her story.

About the Author

Tamilyn, lives in Ontario, Canada. She is currently working on her master’s degree in Philosophy at the University of Windsor, specializing in ancient philosophy and ethics. She holds an undergraduate degree in Classical Civilizations and another in Philosophy from the University of Windsor. She plans on continuing in philosophy through her PhD and into the role of a professor. This does not prevent her, however, from continuing to pursue her goal of being a full-time author. Everyone wants to be the crazy cat-lady.
