About the Author
Gary Bridges’ previous novels, The Cuchara Chronicles, Out of Purgatory, The Wahatoya, The Footprint in the Lake and Los Huerfanos knitted the lives of Steve Curry, his father Lane and other characters into stories of adventure, history, family and Ute Indian culture. From 1985 to 2000, Gary and Shawn lived in Cuchara and Pueblo, Colorado. Gary served as professor and as interim Dean at Colorado State University-Pueblo. Gary recently retired from the University of Texas-San Antonio, where he served as Senior Lecturer and Assistant Dean. Gary and his artist wife, Shawn, now live in Cuchara, Colorado full time.
