About the Book

The Turtlemaniac is a story of a midsize turtle struggling and crawling near the edge of a dry pond, trying to get to the new place where there is plenty of water and food. Luckily, there was a pair of bald eagles, husband and wife, trying to help the poor turtle by carrying him on the air. They flew across a small town. Three young students spotted them in the sky above their heads, and they shouted, “Eh! Look! Look! The eagles are carrying the turtle.” In those days, the turtle understood English, and he wasn’t too happy about it. The turtle was furious, and he wanted to tell the people that he is carrying the eagles. Well, as you know, the turtle can’t fly due to his stubbornness and selfishness and couldn’t accept the truth, so he opened his mouth and fell to the ground—kaput, dead! The turtle is dead because he couldn’t keep his mouth shut.
