About the Book

The Legless Lizard is the second in a series of Australian Themed children’s stories. This story is set in the Australian desert and introduces us to some of the lizards who call this environment home. The story is about a lizard who is too lazy to move away from his cave. When a storm comes, he opens his home to his enemies all seeking shelter together. He forms unexpected friendships and sets out to find a new home with the help of his new friends.

About the Author

My name is Julie Gobby. I have suffered from dyslexia but have overcome it because of my love of reading and writing. I have written all my life and have a fascination with the beauty of words and how written in a certain way can influence the reader profoundly. My goal is to write children’s books to entice the child to want to know more about the words used and the meaning behind the word.
