About the Book

The FEAR OF LIVING is based on a Near Death Expierence by the Author.

The story centers around the L.B.J. Tropical Medical Center, on the Island of Tutuila American Samoa. The story discloses the Authors different outlook on life as a result of the NDE, especially pertaining to religious expierences and beliefs. There are exerpts from the authors diaries, as well as some of the notes he attempted while on life support in the ICU. He recalls writing none of these. While the book is based on fact, there is some humor injected throughout.Opinions and statements by the Author are his opinions and not designed as any attempt to sway readers over to his way of thinking. About the Author

"ABOUT THE AUTHOR" Doug Harrington was born in South Eastern Pennsylvania, County of York, Peach Bottom Township. Being from the Small Village of "Slate Hill," near the Town of Delta, he was forced to fabricate methods of beating the boredom of boyhood life in the Susquehanna River Hills. Doug comes from a family of ten children. There were nine boys, and one girl, with his being the youngest. Doug presently resides in the U.S. Territory of American Samoa, Island of Tutuila, with his Filipina wife, Eleanor. American Samoa sits 14.5 Deg. South of the Equator, in the South Pacific Ocean.
