About the Book
PEN-MAR is a fiction story based around the lives of two Migrants. Its Main Characters are Hawkeye and Clayton. PEN-MAR highlights the hardships of Pre WW-II and Korea and the lingering prejudice leveled at Afro Americans during the era. The book incorporates poverty, riches, success, mild violence, humor, racial prejudice, hard times, religion, and romance. The reader may allow his mind to wander from the Mountains of the Virginia´s, to the Susquehanna River Hills of South Eastern Pennsylvania. About the Author
"ABOUT THE AUTHOR" Doug Harrington was born in South Eastern Pennsylvania, County of York, Peach Bottom Township. Being from the Small Village of "Slate Hill," near the Town of Delta, he was forced to fabricate methods of beating the boredom of boyhood life in the Susquehanna River Hills. Doug comes from a family of ten children. There were nine boys, and one girl, with his being the youngest. Doug presently resides in the U.S. Territory of American Samoa, Island of Tutuila, with his Filipina wife, Eleanor. American Samoa sits 14.5 Deg. South of the Equator, in the South Pacific Ocean.
