About the Book

Like other books of the Pond Series, this is another that parents wish their children would read, as alternative to literature touting absurd violence:

Secret Mission Pond purges the world by water, foiling mankind’s attempts to destroy it by war and fire. Land mass recede as water levels climb almost a mile higher, made possible by seven impacting hydrometeors hidden in the asteroid belt.

Apocalyptic as it appears, the mission is actually one of conservation, activated by Authority and executed by the gentle Hollyarkian. Atmosphere regeneration on Mars results in steps toward Earth’s twin, where man must put his creative demon to new tasking.

The Hollyarkian, angelic but not angel, is a hominid in beatific limbo, where fallen humans may again try to be worthy of entering paradise by reclaiming his child configuration.

About the Author

Born in Newark New Jersey, January 3, 1943, the author survived a painfully shy childhood that lasted through his high school years. Poor guidance (Project Talent) and inappropriate choices led him to a technical career, graduating in the upper quarter of his class from St. Louis University, summer 1964. The author’s last assignments in the Aerospace industry involved the Space Launch Initiative, or next generation shuttle-type launchers. Lawrence retired summer 2002 from The Boeing Company. The young adult book alternative followed a short flirtation with young children stories and poetry. The four books of the Pond Series are the resulting product of all literary attempts.
