The Man Who Worshipped Butterflies is a set of twenty-six humorous fables, illustrated by the author, that illuminate the comedy of human life – from the danger of following one’s bliss, to smothering motherhood, to the truth about true believers, to the exploitation of advertising, to the social hunger for sensationalism, to the vanity of success, among many others. Each fable begins with a simple premise, turns down a path of absurd logic, and finishes at a satirical end, followed by a moral the story has to teach. By laughing at the situations and characters portrayed, readers may also smile at themselves.

Psychologist, writer, and graphic artist, Carl Pickhardt Ph.D. is a well published author of parenting books, children and adult fiction, and illustrated psychology (to which PSYMBOLS is his latest addition.)
