About the Book
This book is a collection of poems that I have been composing and carrying with me since 1988. Creating and writing poems started out as a way to express myself and get in touch with many feeling that I had and have relating to love, change and death itself. As time went on I became more serious about writing my poems and was doing so on a frequent basis. Often the poems would be given to family and friends as a gift of my feelings towards them or to help empathize a lose in their lives. Many of the poems in this book symbolize my thoughts and emotions that I have experience by being in love. The poems express clearly what I was relating to at the time. Another set of poems in this book represent the passing away of dear companion dogs, partners and friends. These poems represent the great feelings of loss to another individual and me. In these poems I am able to express how important these lives were and how they impacted others. Finally there is a group of poems which represent change and awareness of transition in my own life. These poems acknowledge the feelings that accompanied them. Some of them are responses to life experiences and forces that we have little control over. My hope in my writing poems was to help myself develop a calm, comfortable place to express my feelings. In these poems I strive to share a sensitive soul and a caring heart to the outside world. I hope that you enjoy reading them and that a message is brought out to you. Graham Buck
