About the Book

This is a poetic diary of a man who at a young age experienced several life changing events that altered his future traumatically. These events set the stage for what would be an enduring life for this man, full of sadness with moments of great joy and inner clarity.

It is a story revealing his heart and sole with each word written; opening up his life to his children and others so they might better understand him and how he thinks and feels; before, during and after challenging moments in his life odyssey, in hopes that they may learn from his mistakes and make better choices in their lives.

About the Author

Michael Wayne (born 1951) writes stories of mystery/adventure, fairytales and poetry. Michael Wayne was born in Fort Worth, Texas, in 1951; His father was a home builder/contractor and his mother an office manager/secretary. After his parent's premature deaths, Michael married and then enlisted in the United States Army. After seven years of service and the berth of his two beautiful daughters, he left the military and went to work for an oil service company. After 26 years with the company he retired and began to write. In 2008 his publish he first story, "An Angel's Faith" and in 2009 he published his second book, "Memories a Crime of the Heart" both published by Xlibris Publishing.
