About the Book

Sheila is a Koala whose best friend is a wombat called Walter. They live in Eastern Australia on the banks of the Murrumbidgee River. One day Sheila and Walter’s mums go out shopping and the two friends decide to go swimming and picnicking. Their day turns into quite an adventure when sly Rocky the crocodile happens upon the two little cubs on the banks of the river.

About the Author

Born in Scotland, Ange grew up in Rhodesia during the bush war. Some fourteen years after (now) Zimbabwe gained its independence, she and her husband and their two young children moved to New Zealand. Following the devastating Christchurch earthquakes of 2010 and 2011 Ange and her husband moved to South Australia where they currently live. Ange has always enjoyed writing, particularly for children, and was encouraged by her children to keep her stories and ‘do something with them’. A passionate animal lover, the recent move to Australia gave Ange the inspiration to write about what she considers ‘cute ‘n cuddly Aussie bush critters’, and so Sheila the Koala and A VIP in Billabong Creek were born.
