About the Book

The usually sleepy settlement of Billabong Creek is suddenly shaken into a hive of activity. Mayor Tommy Cane Toad has just announced the exciting news that he is expecting a visit from a Very Important Person in the form of Sir William Platypus, representative of the King, who has a mission of high importance and secrecy to bestow on the townsfolk of the Creek.

About the Author

Born in Scotland, Ange grew up in Rhodesia during the bush war. Some fourteen years after (now) Zimbabwe gained its independence, she and her husband and their two young children moved to New Zealand. Following the devastating Christchurch earthquakes of 2010 and 2011 Ange and her husband moved to South Australia where they currently live. Ange has always enjoyed writing, particularly for children, and was encouraged by her children to keep her stories and ‘do something with them’. A passionate animal lover, the recent move to Australia gave Ange the inspiration to write about what she considers ‘cute ‘n cuddly Aussie bush critters’, and so Sheila the Koala and A VIP in Billabong Creek were born.
