About the Book
"Lady Janet" is a continuation of the story, "Three Women of Kintail."
During the preparation for the 1263 war between the Norse and the Scots, Janet met the Earl of Ross.
He was advisor to the young King, Alexander, the III. He was attracted to her intelligence, independence, and striking personality. She did not feel confident about her ability to fit into his life of wealth and leadership.
She went to the battle field as doctor and was near enough to come to his aid when he had a heart attack just before the battle. He recovered and eventually they married, and then it was 1265 time to finalize the Treaty of Perth, the end of the war in the Scots favor. The Earl of Ross would be much involved, and his new wife would take her place by his side. Fate had other plans, so the story continues.
