About the Book

Barbara Beck-Elam was born 1959 in a small town that was richly filled with characters intertwined in her stories of adolescence. This town was supported by many churches and different religions that anchored this community.

Barbara’s works take you back and cause you to remember details most of us have forgotten in our busy lives we lead today. Barbara started writing at age 14. Poems, stories and papers for school English class and has expanded into books, tributes, inspirational writings, eulogy’s, and Christian poems for her church, friends and families. The written word captures time and suspends it forever to read again and again.

Travel back with her through her childhood and the seven friends that remained in her heart. Never leaving her even when they weren’t near by, to support each other during the tragedies in their lives. She brings these characters to life and endears them to your hearts as well, with the stories of their adventures. How with one phone call she regained her friendships and as a writer wrote them in this tender story of sisterhood that remained with her throughout her life. “SEVEN DOORWAYS”.
