About the Book

Introducing Medina is a tween fictional novel loosely based on my experiences as a teacher within the classroom and my daughter’s metamorphosis from a shy introvert into an expressive leader. This story covers one day in the life of Medina. It speaks to the emotional, social and academic growth that occurs in students when facilitated by exceptional teachers and supported by strong role models in the home. About the Author

iam mai lives happily with her husband, two children and their puppy in Canada. One of iam mai’s books, What is Wrong With My Doggis?, is based on her puppy’s mischievous behaviour. She and her husband have the support of their extended families. iam mai is also enjoying her renewed passions for writing and art. iam mai’s visual arts, and selected writings can be found at her new website.
