About the Book

On his thirteenth birthday Snydur of the chave Pup flees his home in search of the thugs who have murdered and ravaged his beloved aunt. As was the custom, it had been her duty as his narshon to instruct him in the arts of intimacy. To find her murderers Snydur must leave the safety of his margin circle and move into the fascinating and perilous world that is Ysstrhm. On his return he prepares himself through physical and weapons training to take up the search again. At the age of nineteen he leaves his home on the quest as told in the chronicles that follow.

About the Author

Douglas Browning, retired university professor of philosophy, lives outside Georgetown, Texas, where he labors at length over poems and novels, stays up throughout the night reading, writing, listening to jazz, and smoking cigars, and enjoys life in his countryside hacienda with his talented and beautiful wife.
