About the Book
The book of poems sometimes came to Carol-la between sleep and wakefulness, to create order out of the chaos of life. Many are of love, loss, mourning, melancholy and the pain of grief and redemption.
As the grief process ebbs and flows, it is leavened with growth, hope and joy and sustained by the spirituality of Taos Mountain and Tibet. Carol-la began to reconnect with the world and find meaning. It speaks of the Tibetan Sky Burial ritual and of the veil between living and dying.

About the Author
Carol-la Sonam Dorje has three grown sons, many wonderful grandchildren, including one new sweet baby grandson; culturally diverse daughters-in-law: American, Chinese, Japanese and Peruvian. Spanning numerous travels to Tibet, Carol-la met and married her Tibetan husband where he lived and died. Carol-la has worked as a battered women’s counselor, hospice counselor, C.N.A., caregiver and resides in Taos, New Mexico with her current pets consisting of two dogs and one cat.
