About the Book

Dean Warren has had a distinguished and varied career. As a young veteran of the Bikini Atom bomb tests, he attended UCLA, The London School of Economics, and Harvard. While in London, he and two other graduate students drove from London to New Delhi, India. Later, he sold Lockheed Aircraft in Southwest Asia and was promoted to Director of Marketing for Lockheed International. The State Department then lured him to run Program Planning for the Agency of International Development. He finished his working career as Director of Strategic Planning for Lockheed Martin Electronics and Missiles Group in Orlando, Florida.

His experiences and writing skills have led him in retirement to publish illustrated memoirs of his nuclear and car trip adventures, as well as five science fiction, speculative novels.

They have also produced short stories, from which collection he has selected twenty four. They all involve modern issues and propose adventurous solutions. They include:

About the Author

Dean Warren lives with his wife in Orlando, Florida. Educated at UCLA, the London School of Economics, and Harvard, he sold aircraft in Southwestern Asia, worked for the State Department and retired as Director of Strategic Planning for a major Defense contractor. An atomic veteran, Mr. Warren has published an illustrated memoir about developing the bomb, the Bikini tests, and radioactive dangers. THE BOMB AND ITS DEADLY SHADOW. He has also published FROM LONDON TO NEW DELHI BY CAR IN 1951, a gorgeously illustrated memoir in kodacolor. He has published three science fiction novels: MAN OVER MIND: A battle between humanity and computers for control of the galaxy. THE LAST UNDERCLASS: Genetic engineers create two classes and conspire to eliminate the lower. GROWING YOUNG: An old man suddenly becomes young and must help the world accept an age cure. And, he recently published a military science fiction novel entitled THE PACIFICATION OF EARTH in which a blond young ghetto kid cons his way into the Marines, joins an American revolution, leads the west in repulsing a Moslem invasion of Europe, and beats back a Chinese effort to conquer the black soils of Eastern Europe.
