About the Book
Dance Around the Treasure Box is a novel, which was written at the end of the Vietnam War years and rewritten in 2013-2014. It focuses on the ups and downs of a Vietnam War hero, Fred, readjusting to the United States, finding a job in the Greater Los Angeles area, taking care of his free-spirited wife, and then facing an unexpected child. Even though the novel has some flashbacks, it mostly deals with a short period of time, a couple of months or so, and focuses on conversations with Fred or about Fred.
About the Author
Brigitta Gisella Geltrich-Ludgate is the author of the children’s books Tales and Bedtime Stories and The Muddy Little Bell. She is also the author of three novellas in The Lucia Rider book, consisting of “The Lucia Rider,” “The Island for Rent,” and “The Town’s Child.” All three novellas focus on everyday situations that need to be recognized, dealt with, and overcome. Her book on poetry is Stepping Through Time, which relates the human experience poetically. Her latest book is Fathers Can Be Good Dads. It is a novel based on family and friends memoirs and plays out in England, Ireland, Austria, and Switzerland. Brigitta Gisella Geltrich was born in Kitale, Kenya, and received her education in Europe and in Canada. She did her university studies at the United States and completed an ABD (all but dissertation) degree at the University of California, Berkeley, and the University of California, Los Angeles. Her degree is in Germanic Linguistics and in Germanic Folklore. She also holds an associate’s degree from the Palmer’s Writing School.
