Her elegance went with her to be forever changed in the shadow of a great mountain where she was surrounded by peach trees, adobe walls and a family that became hers.
About the Author
About the Author... Barbara L. Wyckoff Barbara Lee Wyckoff grew up in the shadow of Mount Garfield, an old mountain rising boldly on the Northern side of the Grand Valley of the Western Slope of Colorado. It was at the foot of this grand old mountain where she listened to the winds as they raced across the desert and dreamed of the characters she would bring to life in the stories she had yet to create. Was this story all there for her being whispered on the wind? Did Barbara Wyckoff know Lillian Sterling and Paris Montoya or a Mexican Family by the name of Martinez? Perhaps she heard Lillian Anne's voice telling her the story of another time. A time of elegance, grace and grandeur which once created could never be forgotten. Merely changed by circumstance. The winds still swirl across the face of Mount Garfield and they still whisper stories yet to be told. "One only has to listen."
