It was a rainy, dreary day in the yard. Paisley was taking advantage of it and was curled up in her dog kennel having a snooze. Granny Pam was sitting inside her tree house knitting. Lindy lizard was doing some animal yoga, which helped her to stay in shape. Lucy was doing the crosswords in the Cockroach Daily Newspaper. Sammy Stick Insect was waiting for the rain to pass hanging upside down under the banana leaf. Teaky Spider was sitting inside her tree cave with her brothers and sisters playing with her toy spider, while mummy Spider was sewing new slippers for everyone. Joe was out visiting his auntie Emma. Millie Rat, Sally Pig and Grado frog were playing in the puddles having a great time. Jacqee numbat was sitting at the edge of the garden with a fishing line in a very deep puddle, hoping to catch some fresh termites. All of a sudden a loud hissing noise came from the corner of the deck. Lucy peered out from behind her paper and screamed. ‘Paisley help me’. Paisley woke up and ran over to Lucy to see what was wrong. ‘What’s wrong Lucy’ she called out. There just in front of Lucy was a blue-tongued lizard looking at Lucy in a very angry way.

About the Book
This is the fourth book in the series about Paisley the dog. Paisley suffers from an unfortunate mishap and lands herself in hospital, which calls for some quick thinking to be done by Mr. Crimplytoes the owl. Granny Pam the guinea fowl comes to Paisley's rescue. Alrik the bilby passes through, and Terina the water dragon moves into her new home at the pond. Jacquee the baby numbat saves the day, while Lucy Cockroach encounters Christina the blue-tongued lizard.

About the Author
Michele lives and works in Brisbane, Australia, with her husband, Tommy. Together, they have seven children and a rescued puppy, Paisley, who is the center of this story. Michele is studying to be a counselor and has worked for the Salvation Army as a telephone counselor. She has also achieved an Excellence in Leadership Award during her working life. Michele has recently been to Cambodia on a mission trip. She aims to give 10 percent of the proceeds of all her books to a church-based charity that helps keep children safe from prostitution and trafficking.
